There is a book called 'Harvest Home' by an Amerian Author and actor Thomas Tryon. It is a superbly written spine chilling and most unusual book.

Briefly, this couple and their daughter, move from the city to a very remote place in USA which contains the descendents of a Cornish community.

The story is light, humerous, and nice, but gradually shifts to a dark, then terrifying, climax. Even to talk about it makes the hairs on the back of my neck start to rise.

Read it, you will not be disappointed.

I don't normally read fiction, Ray, but you've got me intrigued. Maybe I'll check this one out!

Hi Diana,

I don't often read fiction, I read this book some years ago now and it had such an impact on me, I bought it some years later to read again. Tom Tryon skilfully tells this story of a utopian like existence for the hero and his family, gradually, events occur that make him realise things are not all they seem in this remote 'paradise'.

I would love to hear what you think of it Diana. Tryon's writing is polished and well constructed. I bet you cannot put it down.
