It is a superbly written spine chilling and most unusual book. Briefly, this couple and their daughter, move from the city to a very remote place in USA which contains the descendents of a Cornish community. The story is light, humerous, and nice, but gradually shifts to a dark, then terrifying, climax. Even to talk about it makes the hairs on the back of my neck start to rise. Read it, you will not be disappointed. |

Tom Tryon skilfully tells this story of a utopian like existence for the hero and his family, gradually, events occur that make him realise things are not all they seem in this remote 'paradise'. I would love to hear what you think of it Diana. Tryon's writing is polished and well constructed. I bet you cannot put it down. |
