Hands down, it would have to be The Story of My Life by Helen Keller.  I read it when I was about 11 or 12, and I've never forgotten it.

Diana, I'm sure I told you how a friend and I met her last year. She was so friendly! She talked to us for ages, and brother Jimmy came to let her know she had to leave as they had an appointment, but she kept on talking. In the end, Jimmy had to lead her away, and she was still talking to us over her shoulder.

She came across as genuinely friendly, I don't think she was 'putting it on for the fans'. And her live performance was outstanding (as was that of her brothers). She is a real entertainer.

Sue, I knew that you had met Jimmy, but I didn't realize that you had met Marie as well! What a great memory!  I hope you read her latest...you'll love it!

I met them all last year. Even Alan, who is suffering with MS. It was a real treat (to say the least). They are a wonderful family, and true performers.

Back to biographies, I am about to read Robert Vaughn's biography 'A Fortunate Life.'

P.S. I've met Donny a few times too. Easy on the eyes  .

LOL! Yeah, I had a crush on Donny when I was ages 9-11; I had his posters up all over my wall and played his records all day and night. Every dime I got was saved to buy the latest "Teen Beat" with Donny on the cover. I remember asking my grandfather for a dollar to buy a magazine one day and as he gave it to me he said, "Just don't get anything else with that boy on it"!  Tongue out LOL!!!
