Funny story that; I was five years old and I kept begging my mother to let me have my ears pierced. She said no until one day I wore her down. We were at my aunts house and I pestered her until she agreed. She was a bit annoyed and told me she would do it but I had better not say one word and I had better sit still until she was done. I swore I would do both. Keep in mind that this was the 1960s; long before they had the neat, quick and painless little guns they use today. Long story short; she sat me down in a chair and numbed my ear lobe with an ice cube and then proceeded to shove a sterilized sewing needle through my still tender flesh. I don't think the needle got more than half way through before I broke both those promises. I let out a blood curdling scream that made the dog run for cover, I jumped out of that chair and ran screaming like a banshee through the house, with the needle still hanging out of my ear, and outside into the arms of my uncle, screeching, "Save me uncle Jimmy...mommy's trying to kill me!" My mother, meanwhile, was hot on my trail and cursing like a sailor. She was so mad at me, but my uncle wouldn't let her near me. Eventually he did calm me (and my mother) down and I ended up letting her finish the job...after a great deal more ice had been applied. Edited by: Diana Sinclair at:28th April 2009 20:05 |

I used to have my nose pierced and I wore a tiny little cubic zirconium in it. I liked it very much actually but one day I took it out for some reason I can't remember and then I couldn't get it back in! Now I am just too old for it, but if I was younger, I'd do it again. It hurt like heck, and I bled like a stuck pig when I got it done. Scared the person doing it! |
