Apparently the leopard wasn't hungry,,and sounds like an female, maybe its had babies. As fo rthe mouse/rodent. Well, it was pretty hungry. Huner makes you hold your ground, if you are but near an baby yourself. I can imagine the "cat" sensed that also.
