As I've got older, I realize that physical looks really amount to very little. I like to watch America's Next Top Model, and I watch it because there are girls on there that I would NEVER pick out as being pretty enough to be models. It's all in how one comports themselves. Someone who is confident in themselves, even though they may not be the classic beauty, is beautiful.

I wish I'd know about this when I was younger, as I was always so caught up about being ugly, that I wasted allot of good years and probably missed out on allot of good relationships. 

You are absolutely right Sue; yet I confess to being rather shallow. While it's true that I have met men I found myself very attracted to who at first glance were anything but good looking, physical attraction is important to me, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't.

Having said that, I think physical attraction is very personal (what is attractive to me may not be to you) and while looks are a part of it (Don't you think it's true that we all have a physical "type" that appeals to us?); it's more than looks, it's also a person's deportment and confidence...the way he "carries" himself.

To me the difference between a good friend and a lover is that physical chemistry.
