I sure hope so Debbie..I  need something to do around here besides "work" all the time..right now I'm about to head out the door for some house paint, and I keep thinking of that silly joke I read here in POE..about the blonde painting the guys porch or rather his.."Porshe"... that I thought was so funny. My hair is an light as is yours these days.... so I hear an lot of blonde jokes.

My friend from North Carolina sent me an "Sun bonnet Sue" here some time back, and I'm making an wall chart for veggies plants to hang out there, but I need to paint the area first...kind of outdoor along the house "decoration" of an sorts. I promised her an picture.

For about three years now we have been sending each other Christmas presents, never anything to wildly expensive, Christmas ornaments, she sent me an picutre of her "Homeade tree" last year, and I was simply delighted. I could see all the little goodies I'd been sending her through the years. Some of them included...small baby food jars, cleaned decorated around the tops with wee bit of greenery..(fake an flame proof) with an metal hanger and an tea light in each one, look like little hanging laterns... satin ribbon "Doves" as that's her nickname,  fancy snowflakes you make out of "Bands" of  cut rings off toliet paper, or gift wrap paper, any kind of tube, you bend them into teardrop points and glue them together and then spray paint them..hard to describe, they are gorgeous when finished, plus I sent her some wooden cranberry bead chains, anyway, I was truly amazed at how much I had sent her...her tree was huge!!! She is an lady that likes to "live off the land" when she can. She likes to sound a bit like Denzil, but I know by what she says, she's an lot smarter for her age then what she says by her speech. She recently told me she's been to college an holds an degree. I figured so. I also made her an cookbook of receipes handed down by people I've know and some from my mother, and that seemed endearing to her. She told me my little stories and memories brought back the "spirit" of past Christmases she could remeber also as an child. If I can find them again, as I stored them away, I came across some metal bells, and hanging off them were an strip of metal, they were in green, red,  and gold for this year's ornaments. I should get with it an make her an "mama" pillow before the Holidays even start. Usually in left over bright material, they are little "Puff filled squares"..you draw them up to look like puffs in shape, you sew onto an regular pillow very closely, or leave enough to hand sew on strips of gold binding between them. Take an while to make. Esp nice if you use red velvet on the back and satins and pretty fabrics for the "Puffs". They call them "Mama" pillows because they are particularly soft for the head or the feet, which ever mama's need some softeness at....the puffs when done are stand out across the front of the pillow, close together they are thick  also. Little kids like to "pick" on the puffs for some reason. Kind of like their favorite "wooly" blanket for an sense of security. She's got grandkids also.

Hope someone can delete the extra postings, I've been having that problem here lately on the first posting when I come in, it's almost like its "shut off", so I keep hitting it to "post" and when it does come through... it's several of them.
