Solomon had a temperature of 40 when we were rushed to hospital last year with suspected meningitis. It was a scary time.

Krissy - James is going tomorrow - flying from Heathrow at 10 - he only found out yesterday afternoon! He is madly trying to get all his stuff together! He will be there for 8 weeks!

It's at Kweebec camp. He is working one to one with a special needs child. Think it will be hard but rewarding. James is 21 and at university so this is a summer job. We will all miss him though - he was going to help us clean out the garage!

Yeah 40 is a high temp, and meningitis is always the big worry for any kid with a really high temp, just really because its so hard to rule out! most cases are not meningitis, but who wants to take the chance!

Hi Jason! He had a rash too - and he was listless. Thank goodness it turned out OK.

James has been to Florida, Canada and Australia with his Mom so he is well travelled really! Jayne was a single Mom then but she had a good job in those days and there was only the two of them then. Now he has a step dad and a half brother.

He has grown up to be a great lad - his Dad left when he was two. He spent most of his young years with us women! It was really strange - when he was born there was my Mom & Dad, Jayne and Keith and Stephen and me. Within two years all the men had gone (left or died) except James.
