And yes, Michael, a kind thought for you and especially for our Cathy. And don't forget the other side of the Father's Day bereavement - the fathers grieving for their deceased children. God bless. So I guess POE is going to have to help me keep from getting lonely...you know my house has been described as" Grand Central Station" at times for all the people in it from time to time. Seems very quiet and still with just myself here. Even my two big huge hound dogs miss the kids crawling all over them. One of them came up earlier and put her head on me, as if to be an "companion" for the night. It might be nice to sleep in though a bit..smiles* I still have my work cut out for me, while they are gone my mission is getting the carpteting throughout the house washed, last year it was Scotty and I and we did that and painted the house a bit. He needed the money for luggage to go on vacation to see an gal friend of his in California. Have no idea what he's a doing this year. the help was nice to have but costly also. Not to many ways the younger kids can earn money these days. Micheal, my son (and his family) live with me, I'm lucky to say more then 5 mins in words to him an week...he's gone before I get up, and comes home, eats and goes to bed to get up the next day. If we are here together, he's ususally outside working on his or someone elses car or ATV. Let's see, this morning I passed him by and said "Happy Father's Day,.. drive careful.. call us when you get there, and I dont' know if that sleeping bag got washed or not, better go ask your dad...that was it...as I handed him an donut to munch on and his wife put an Father's Day Card in his hand. After that I went to hugging each of the grandkids..as they went out to the car...telling them to stay together, stay away from water, and don't fight with each other...the ussual mother/grandmother type stuff. after they left, I went back to bed for an couple of hours. Then got up to attend with the day's activites. For the most part, I'll talk to you people here more then I will the family most of the time... because of the scehules we keep. |
