Scally is a term used, mostly in Liverpool, for a low life scum bag which unfortunately walk the streets of my city. They all look the same because of the way they dress, not to mention the 'vacant' look on their faces. Uneducated and too lazy to work they should be put to sleep so the rest of us decent people can live in peace!

They get called Chavs, Pikeys and other names depending on which part of the country you live in.

(There are many of these low life's in all the inner cities, not just Liverpool which the media like to portray!)

A Brummie is term used for a person who comes from Birmingham as Jason does. It is a friendly term and not meant in a  derogitery way at all.

I visited Birmingham 2 summers ago and I loved the place. The people were friendly and the shopping area called The Bull Ring was amazing.

 Taken from wikipedia:

Scally or Scallie, is originally short for Scallywag, but is now most-often used in the context of fashion-conscious hooligans. It is a slang term for a social subculture youth, similar to "chav", but with different origins. It describes mostly young, working class people.

Etymology

The word's origins lie in Irish language. It is short for scallywag, which comes from an old Irish word for drudge or farmservant — sgaileog. It is a word which appears to be in common use within towns that have historic Irish communities, for example Salford, Warrington, Knowsley, St. Helens and Liverpool, where it is sometimes abbreviated to "scall". As one leaves the industrial belt of the Mersey and Irwell Valleys the word appears to have been replaced by chav.

Differences between the scally and the chav

The scally has a much more diverse and detailed history. In terms of stereotypical dress, scallies today often wear designer tracksuits and trainers (Nike Air Max and Reebok Classics in particular). They also wear dark coloured clothing usually black, navy blue and grey. This is in contrast to the chav's stereotypical counterfeit Burberry outfits and excessive “bling” jewellery.

But all are unworthy of the air they breathe! IMPO!
