There seems to be a problem though. I have an info balloon saying "You just plugged a device into the audio socket"----"You just unplugged a device from the audio socket". One after the other it keeps flashing up. I cant find where to disable the notification. Grrrrrrrr. Bloomin Vista. I only hope that I can find what is wrong with my old setup and fix it. |

Sorted out the info balloon problem now though. Just switched of the internal sound module. Still get sound, though dont ask me how. It also speeded up the computer slightly but only a little bit. |

Have you tried sytem restore, or uninstalling/reinstalling programs that might be a bit flaky?? |

You dont get manuals with computers these days,so I dont know the speed of the front side bus or the memory type and speed. I dont even know the upper limit of memory. I have 1 and 2 gig DDR2 memory sticks in 400 and 800 MHz and hope that they will work in this PC. Still, I wont know till I take it appart and look will I. Ray,as I said its a new computer. From setting it up that darn pop up started. I got rid of it eventualy but as Maria said, I need to upgrade the memory very quickly. |

You could try going onto www.kingstonmemory.com and they can run a scan and check memory compatibility for you. As Maria says, getting 4 gig of the correct speed, would make a fantastic difference. |
