Makes me think of an interview I saw with a man who's wife had passed away. He had her cremated and brought her home, but rather than sitting her on the fireplace mantle he purchased a boat load of empty gelatin tablet and filled each one with some of her ashes. He would ingest one a day because he said it made him feel close to her.

Now I am not one to criticize how some one deals with their grief but ewwwwwwwwwww!!!

LOL! I know!

Seriously though, grief can make people do strange things.

to be honest i've got nothing to good about grief, we tend to just see the stunned grief when we have to break the news!! no real funny stories, few nasty ones...but not really suitable for here!!

one nasty was trying to resus a 50 yr old male in front of his daughter, and NEW wife!! it was his wedding day!! he'd died at his own reception!! that was unpleasant, ...but this old guy just kept hold of his pint and watched the whole thing sitting in his chair next to us!!   we got him back.... albeit for a short time , but enough to say goodbye to his wife!!
