Hello all!

Hope you are having a super day.

We are supposed to get up into the 100's today, so I think I'll stick indoors with the cooler on.

What's going on with you?

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around for a while but work has been keeping me busy from the moment I walk in the door. I can't complain though, not after all the lay offs and salary reductions etc., that's been going on around here. I am glad to be working!

True Diana,..... so very true these days, my hubby just finished off the national convention for the Nurseryman's Association...reports from the salesmen are not that profit good this year, due to lack of spending money at the citizen level, and in the housing industry problems..but these new houses have such small backyards, there isn't the demand for nursery stock like there use to be either. I'm glad our retirement years are not to far away...though they may not be to much better by the sounds of some people. Maybe I'll go into making apple fritters and as soon as I can figure out how to make the low-carb..I'll send you one! LOL.What was it people use to day..Life is an @itch!"...someday it tis I suppose...I'd hate to be an leader/manager these days in some ways, its the most replaceable job out there.

Next time your out and about...on an bus..tell your driver to look up the Oregonian Newspaper section E..front page..Aug, 12, 2009 it shows an whole lot of clusters of small fans...under the picture it reads multiple fans each electrically powered and capable of startng and stopping on it's own maintain the temperature of an Tri.-met bus engine more efficiently .,,saving annually thousands of gallons of diesel fuel and less wear and tear on the engines. So far tri-met has retrofited 66 buses with them, the fans are now being adopted elsewhere in the U.S. Just so they are aware of this new approach in the bus industry, we had the nicest tour bus operator back there in Boston when I was  there, and our then Gov. was ahead of the national transporation system, so we talked with them while there about what they'd think were good ideas to put through nationally. Which they told us (near cities) double decker highway systems, trucks, buses and emergency below, pedestrains and automobiles and small trucks above level. Just an nice payback for them I guess Diana.

Hi Sue!! Nope, my kids don't go back until Sept 9! Erin asks everyday when she is going! She's chomping at the bit!  There are four girls in our little courtyard, so far three Erin, and two others have the same teacher this year!! How fun is that!  We have to check the other girl!

I'm remembering one year, the first day at a new school, and even though I was with friends as we moved up, it was still a very nerve wracking time.

Very nerve wracking! Everything yet familiar is still so new! I'm excited! I get to see Erin get the bus. I don't know why but that just tickles me pink!
