Okay ladies, I am having trouble finding a single eyeshadow color that works with my baby blues. I have some great combination colors that I do well with, but there are some days I just don't want to spend all that time making up my eyes. Instead I'd like to find a "signature" color that works well by itself and brings out my eye color.

I got the idea from watching Jennifer Love Hewitt on Ghost Whisperer. The last season she wore a single color with mascara and it looked smashing on her. I bought the same color but it doesn't do anything for me.

Any suggestions on a single color that might work?

Hmmmm, tricky because I have eyes like a Rottweiller! LOL!

I would go for a grey shade if my eyes were blue though. I can't think what my blue eyed friends wear. Doh!

I agree with Babs, Diana. A neutral color would be best. It will make your eyes stand out!

Found this on a site Diana

For Blue Eyes:
1. Tried and True: taupe, gray, violet, purple, deep blue (a darker shade than your eye color makes your eyes really blue), black (mix it with bright blue for a smoky effect)
2. Funky Favorites: silver, turquoise, fuschia (brightens any shade of blue)

You always look lovely in all your pictures. Can't remember what shades my sis wears - she has blue eyes. I only wear makeup when I go out (which is never LOL!). We are actually going out Saturday night to a wedding reception - we'll probably only make it until 10pm at the latest!

Myself & my sister Jayne went to one of these makeup coaches years ago - must say it was amazing - I had been wearing all the wrong colour makeup and clothes colour. It was very interesting - the only thing I disagreed with is they told me no black and I love black!

Have fun at the wedding reunion Stephanie....Diana sounds like an lot of possibles for answers to your question here. I think the tone would have to complement the clothing your wearing at the time myself. It's so hot here today where I'm at,  I would think any eye makeup would melt for the most part.

Thanks for the tips Steph. I had my colors done by a "Color Me Beautiful" rep many years ago. I am a winter person. It was fun getting the colors done, and I agree for the most part that the winter color scheme looks best on me, but I have a passion for "earth tones" and prefer to wear them even if they don't look as good on me. Tongue out lol.

I agree with you about black too; I love wearing black and I'd never give it up.
