This week, $49 Heavy duty BBQ cover ..Sears Brand 40 per cent off...lawn water sprinklers, $3.99..also from Sears,...the after 40 per cent price... three Rhodenrons, less them $15 each, about half price...my reading books...one was $3,99 marked down, and other begin an paperback version was $10 less. Recenly got some clothing "new" on Clearance for less then what they want for them in thrift shops. I saved $8 on fertilizer you spray on your veggies and flowers in your garden. But here's what I found for $1.00....fresh..four peppers, large zuchinni 2/$1.00..califlower 2/$1.00, corn, 4/$1.00...lettace 2/$1,00...cabbage 39 cents each...reguardless of size...big batch of Dill $1.29 an bunch....my tomatoes are coming out of my garden nicely. small cucumbers, peppers, romaine lettace, onions here some time back, plums last week, free blackberries, last week. Harvest season is upon us right now, if you know where to go. Biggest bargain I understand was changing all the cable/phones/computers to one company, I understand about $300 an month savings, but I'll wait until I see the billing... it might help us recouperate from the high air-conditioning bills of recent...water useage in our garden also. That week of around 100 to 106 temps really did us all in. Our

It was all good fun! Funnily enough Babs they did recognise him in Marks and Spencers - he was pleased! Babs was your newspaper/radio appearance when you did the run? I know you were on the big screen that time! I have been on the front of the local papers fighting various causes in the area - fighting the closure of our school (we won), problems at the hospital and sale of Saltwells House for development. I've always been a bit of a troublemaker - LOL! Edited by: Stephanie Jackson at:20th August 2009 07:15 |

Sue, should we call you our "POE Twitty bird"? I saw our resident Eagle flying over last night sitting on the porch out front, he's huge. One o fmy bargains was bird feeder bells for $1.79....K-mart. Well, grandson is registered for his kindergarden, he'll go half an day..and g-daughter goes into today for her books, locker and saxaphone for music lessons this year. Third one not sure what his agenda is on school this year. It's so quiet..maybe I can think and get back on diet again coming up here soon.... I could use it. Clean my house from top to bottom all over again. Cooler today also...much nicer. Anyone know if this year's Christmas has an "theme" yet or is it to early yet? I can't say I really noticed any unique printed fabrics out as of yet. Long long time ago...I was piecing Christmas material...then embordering log cabins, candles, bells, snowflakes, simple things, and was making blocks to sew together some day and never got it finished. I left it because I was doing the embroidery by "free-hand" and even at that it was taking an long time. These blocks were small enough I could take them with me on Scout outtings for something to do around an campfire...didnt' take up much room to haul in the backpack. I understand this year is Boy Scouts 100th year anniversary...or the next year coming up. Guess I better look that one up, so I know it being we are in scouting. |

It was do to with hairdressers ruining people's hair and lives. It happend to me and I was asked to give my story which was pretty horrendous at the time. I just wanted to die. I gave a live interview on radio 4 also which almost killed me when I heard a recording of it....ohhhhhhhhhh that voice!!! LOL! Top Sante magazine was runnning a story on me also, and I was going to appear on This Morning before the programme moved down south. Both dropped the story though and that was the end of my 5 mins of fame! LOL! |

I go walking around the countryside, go mooching in towns and villages. I love to go see historic buildings, finding out the history of places. I adore seeing wildlife and best of all is a pub meal and a pint of the local beer. Yummmmmm!
Of course, there's lazy moments too...hehehe!
I recommend one of them tents to anyone. They're brilliant! Edited by: Babs ' at:21st August 2009 01:14 |
