Many thanks for your kind wishes, Rick, Babs, Krissy, Chris and Sarah, Babara, Diana, and Karen. And a special thank you to Cathy for arranging for some pleasant surprises at work---which suprised a lot of people here too !---and probably including the kind assistance from a UK Poe member working in the background, all of which helped make it such a memorable day from you all.

Apologies for my delayed thanks. This was caused by my ISP deciding that my £20 credit limit was about to be exceeded for the month, and pulled the surfing plug on me until their new accounting period started. Clearly, this was to avoid any embarrassing headlines that might have made the Financial Times we didn’t ultimately read------

Another multi-national company came to the brink of disaster when it was leant that they had nearly over extended their credit offerings to £20. Only a quick response from the companies auditors by stopping the enormous outflow of cash had stopped worried investors selling more shares and dropping the company’s value even more. By mid-afternoon, traders had learnt that the £20 debt had been successfully stopped from running on with investors cautiously re-entering the market causing the shares for have a late rally. A takeover bid by a major competitor had also been thwarted and scheduled talks with Unions about resultant job losses have been put on hold. The Trade and Industry Secretary had been keeping the Prime Minister advised of the situation. The Bank of England’s plan to provide quantative easing of £20 as a bail out measure is currently under review.

You should see the crap I've put up with this summer Paul, it's taken us 5 times to get our cable line working from verizon coming though with the fiber optics. We are on comcast. I mean it gets so triing to "put up with" at times, Plus we have had three different times ..Comcast technicans here working inside the house as well as the 5 lines outside. My street looks like an painted "kiddie land" ..our front lawn that was "turfed" recently looks the pits. I know they are doing all kinds of tricky little things to keep from going under, but its their little tricky things before that's gotten them where they are now.

For you sign:10283, Paul ~ ~ ~

Happy belated birthday, Paul

Of historical facts, you have them all.

You're kind, generous and sweet as can be

I'm so glad I got to meet you, finally.

This poem's a bit lame, so now I'll end

Just wanted you to know, I'm proud to call you friend.

God bless and many happy returns!!!  Kiss Kiss Kiss

We did, Paul, and had a great time with you at Beaulieu.  (for all you Yanks out there, the English pronunciation is Byew-lee).

Thanks again for your kindness and hospitality.  The Bournemouth map you gave us saved us hours of not getting lost the day we went to Swanage.  I can't wait to get the pics downloaded and sorted so I can post them.
