Ive just been on google earth Walnut Ave., Antioch CA and you can see quite clearly the conditions they lived in, Blue canvas tents and sheds, an old blow-up pool and trampline. I also noted that there was a well trodden path past the old pool leading into the rear nieghbours yard which could suggest they had regular visitors, perhaps more than just the two charged were involved in this disgusting crime. How many more innocent victims are in the same situation worldwide? |

I'm sure the investigators would have notice this but just in case they have overlooked these images taken a while ago, can someone over there in the States draw their attention to this? Its possible the trailor is not there now. Hope this infomation is of use? |

Within the past few years, a young boy was recovered after being held for 4 years by a monster, when this man decided that his "slave" was getting a little too old, and kidnapped a new, younger boy, which led to both boys being found. We thought it was a miracle that the younger boy was found alive, but when they found the older boy, it was just shocking, as he had been presumed dead. It's heartbreaking that these things happen, but I'm so happy for the families that do get their children back. Hopefully, if there are more, maybe this will somehow help open people's eyes to what goes on around them (not that we want to point fingers at all our neighbors) but sometimes if something doesn't "feel" right, maybe that's a warning flag that we should take seriously. As painful as it is, this may give hope to little Madeline's family... |

I have to wonder how the girls will fare mentally, though I hear that they are all physically well. |

This would need to be volutary to begin with as it could present all kinds of problems if the father is found not to be the father etc. but the child welfare must come first. However, it would only happen in developed countries. Another potential 'flaw' is that kidnappers probly wouldnt take their victims to see a GP etc. However if it 'finds' just one stolen child, (or sadly the remains), it would be worth it. I note that on the google earth overhaed view of the accused's property, there are signs of ground disturbance on the lawns at the side and rear of the property. As the acused has a record of sex offenses its possible that this could be another 'Fred West' or moors murder type inquiry. As Ron says, if you are in anyway suspicious of a 'neighbour' suddenly aquiring a child, be it a sudden grandchild or child 'relative', its worth taking an 'interest' and satisfying yourself that its 'all above board'! I note that the neighbour of the the american accused reported his suspicions three years ago and the police have now apoligised for not looking into it. It must not be allowed to happen again, anywhere in the world. |

His first victim (who thankfully lived) was an older woman, so it seems children are not his only prey. |

Emancimating the children to have legal rights of adutls via the courts would stop an lot of the run aways..because they'd be able to find jobs and have credit as an adult, set up thier own living conditions, and it would stop "hang out houses" for them also, where many times drugs are present....many can't leave home because they can't support themselves... they are not normally allowed to do so until after 18, esp. without an co-signer parent. It goes back to having an "open home" situation I think in some ways, also. Most this stuff goes on, is done in secret...behind closed doors. |

I would happily be first inline to shoot the b......s that kidnapped the kids! Make an example just once and things would very soon change. |
