Diana...I sent you an forward from teh 6 summer Saslds of ryour health by Dr. Maeo on the Yahoo home front page thsi morning and it;s telling me that your addy is verified..whatever that means. I guess could wite ti out hre, for everyone, but it's lengthy...maybe why you didt' get my last e-mail I had posted to you also? Question of the day..why is "Bush" suddenly back on the scene with Ted Kennedy's passing. I see they did an spread about "Jenna's" employment this morning also on Yahoo..who cares..I mean really...the girls were seldom talked about when he was President. Kind of late now in ways. I think that is his biggest problem in life, "bad timing" for some reason..as if he's someplace out of sync with the rest of the world. It looks as if the latest health care reform could be the next to see its dismiss in ways, but it's only the good that pass on, so most likely we will be stuck with this hell of raise in medical costs to us all, already being under financial duress. As I said, it's only the worse of two evils we get choices on any more. Call it "Americans" shame, Eurpoe's aclaim... 1. In Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands, seniors stick with private insurance plans for life..if this health care reform here gets passed, our private health insurnace rates will raise for us by 23 per cent...possibly. As health insurance rates increase for employers, businsses go out of business and people lose jobs. 2.In France and Japan, you don;'t get an choice f insurance provded, you use the one desingated for your company or your industry, Canadians have their choice. 3. In Japan, waiting time are so short that most patients dont' bother to make appointments, here in the USA health clinics now tell you to go to emergency BUT..emergency bills/fee's are three times higher ususally also. Going to emergency for the flu, cost me $3,000 an dof that $600 to be handed pills. 4. U. S. health insurance companies have the highest administravie costs, spending 20 cents on every dollar for nonmedical costs. France spends France spends about 4 percent, Canad 6 per cent, and Taiwan 2.5 per cent. That is perhaps because hospitals have scams going to over bill constantly that have to be checked into by the health insurance industries. Mnay times they try to double bill also, between the patient"s and the care provider. 5. About 700,000 Amricans go into bankruptcy each year because of medical bills. In France, Britain, Japan, and Germany the number of medical bankruptcies is zero. This is why we asked for health reform to begin with..what we got, 23 per cent hikes in medical fee's either to employers, to patients or to the health insurance companies. Yet it is, they have always provided Illegal immigrants no cost..free medical services. something is wrong here, VERY wrong..and now you know why there is an booming business up here to birthing new hispanics..it's for free....why not! Why we most likely will be subjected to the swine flu also. It takes an complete "Bimbo" running things, to keep this kind of crap on-going. One that is not humanitarian....and right down stupid. There has to be somone that says what everyone else is basically "thinking" over here. Add to that the senior citzen clause of "death panels"..which is little more then legalized "murder"..Micheal Jackson style in ways, and you got yourself one sorry bunch of people...that are VERY unhappy. |

The pop festival is on one side of Reading; i'm working way the other side and have been able to listen to it the past 3 nights from a few miles away ! Anyone have a big pan and brush for the clean up????? |

But I went to work Friday and spent yesterday getting unpacked and doing stuff around the house. We had a great time, but it feels good to be home. Thanks for asking. xoxo

Hood just for an ride, to get out of the house and all the saddness of the Kennedy funeral, and the work I've been doing recently putting up food for winter. It's good to see you Ruth. I hope to get my pictures back around mid-week..maybe we both can add some new pictures to the posts...well, tell us, what were your favorites, did you really crush Ron's fingers? Fill us in as you get the chance...how long was your flight? |

Wednesday we were at Trinity College in Dublin and the two oldest trees on campus are Oregon maples - over 100 years old. I thought of you when I found that out. My favorite place - haven't decided yet - there are too many. Did I really crush Ron's fingers - well I told Diana I'd beat him, didn't I? Lol. The flight was long and uncomfortable. About 12 hrs total. The flights between England and Ireland are only an hour. But it was worth every minute.

I was getting an bit scared with Bob and Hurricane Bill and then he comes in and tells us he's safe at home, I guess he's in an "staycation" this year. I'm up tonight watching pictures that Mark (LA Man)is showing us of the "Station Fire" in California about ready to take out an very old landmark, the Wilson Observatory near Pasadena. Then they are also mentioning the effects of an huricane swinging back toward Baja, Mexico and how it will affect the these wildfires also. They say Las Vegas is getting 50 mph winds tonight and smoke from it all. How's it in your area? Far enough away to not be bothered by this all? |
