Can it be right members? Japanese fishermen are apparently killing them in their tens of thousands each winter (that is if they are lucky) some are wounded and presumably die a long death! See http://www.thecovemovie.com/ ....if you can bear to watch it!

When you read the amount of times that Dolphins have helped humans in trouble in the sea. When you read how brainy they are and that they have a language, why would Dolphins come near man? I have no idea. All killing of Dolphins should should be stopped NOW. How many more species will be wiped out before us humans realize that it is WRONG?

One day,if another race from out in space come here and do the same to us,these same people will be screaming "It is wrong of them". Time for them to think.

That probably came out wrong, but you know what I mean.

Absolutley NOT!!!!!! this is horrible!!

We have a show here called Whale Wars. It's a organization that chases these Japanese fisherman who are killing whales as well! Whales that are on the endangered list!! They chase these ships down and do everything to stop them! They are not violent but do throw stink bombs so they are unable to hunt!!!

I am a member of the group on Facebook, if anyone wanted to check it out.

No,... we also have the "Green Peace' organization that come after them also.

Few people know that these fish are known to lay down their own lives in the protection of others...esp humans, because they may be an species that we evolved from biologically some zillons of years ago. But I never knew fish had such "personailty" untl I had my auquarium tank and got to being with my fish daily. They "knew" the minute I walked into the room and in the tank tried to follow me around..to get right up close to me...it was an large tank. I also noticed if the bigger fish was not in good health, the littler fish would crowd around it to portect it also. I had one blind one being lead by another in the tank. He would swop down to stir up the water so the food would float upwards to the blind one so he'd eat...not have to bump around on the bottom of the tank and hurt himself.  They are caring. Most life forms are...but in their own way, much of that intuitvely.

Animal rights are not as important in the far east and many other countries. I knew someone who traveled there and was quite sickened by how they were treated, especially in markets. In some Chinese zoos they feed live cattle to the lions and the public laugh in pleasure.I did think that Japan was a little more forward but of course they have a long history of whaling. I always used to think that dolphins must be stupid for helping humans in distress considereing what we do back to them.

Couldn't watch it Ron. I love dolphins. The trouble is we are fighting a losing battle - we can fight for conservation, try to cut pollution and help save to world etc etc but until every country does the same there really is no hope for the future.

Hi Krissy and Ron.

I used to be in Greenpeace in my youth and the literature they sent was very disturbing. I always think about those whales hacked to pieces each year in the Faroe islands and the sea red with blood. The list of cruelty was endless.
