A lot of people make fun of Mr. Rogers, but when I was a child being dragged from foster home to foster home he was the one consistency in my life. No matter where I was, as long as there was a TV, I could turn it on and see a friendly, loving, and familiar face telling me that I was okay and valuable just as I was.
