My mother-in-law loved Bingo Shirley. My Mom on the other hand only played once on a cruise a few years ago - she won & didn't realise you had to shout so her husband shouted & they said it was too late! She never played again!!!

I had a big win in 1987. I had just bought my 1st house and was absolutelty skint (no money). The postman knocked the door at my family home & Mom signed for a letter. My Dad said it had to be a big win & it was £5000 on the Premium Bonds! Considering my 1st house cost £24000 & I was earning £4000 per year at the time you can see what a big win that was! However it didn't bring me any luck - my good-for-nothing 1st husband thought we were rich & gave up his job without telling me!!!

Best I ever won was a 26 inch doll at Oxford City Football Club on the Abingdon Road ground Oxford many, many years ago. I felt total embarrassment as I had to go collect it from the MC but then I was only 19 years of age!! Not the sort of thing you want your mates to see you do at that age!!

Anyway, I figure it means my turn is about to come. Now, what will I win..........???

I don't think I've ever won anything, I'm not one to be signing up for stuff, but my husband signs up for everything, and he once won a push bike.

My brother won a trip to Australia.

I know a few things I would like to win, like a dinner with David McCallum and Robert Vaughn.

Yeah, Steph, I often find that to be true, that winning doesn't bring the happiness it should down the line..but whom doesn't love to give it an try! It's very popular right now to add "when I win the lottery" over here..because no one does much.I thought that with those slot machines, it would draw so many more poeple if they would more often give back an nickle on 25 cents spent. By the time you have plugged in 8 coins, and not won anything, it makes you want to give up playing them.I assume like most businesses that any losses are tax deductible to begin with anyway...so I don't understand the being such an tightwad. And Iwish on the really big lotto's over 6 nillion that they would say, two winners not one. Here in Oregon you have to give up about half of what you win anyway to the state...but even that for most people would be walking away pretty handsomely. esp when things like th ePOwerball, is into the 100 plus million range in winning.

Me too, Roses!  Great to see you!

I parlayed about $20 into $200 the last time I was in a casino.  I won a piece of woodburning art and a hand crocheted scarf in a raffle at work.  But apart from that zip, zilch, nada.  lol

When I win the big lottery, I gotta get me a thatched cottage....

We don't have thatched cottages over here.....

(sigh)
