By the tiem I finish this Cromwell book it would been about 900 pages I've read of his character's life around the time of King Alfred, around the year of 877 or so.I took this book with me to the hospital yesterday to read while my hubby had some testing done for his surgery later this week..and the hospital is an religious one, and everytime I'm there, I'm exposed to vices of the world more or less...they must think I'm an heathen by now. When I had my son there, all we could watch on Good Morning America was the Atlantic Seaboard Casino's opening up...gambling. This time I'm reading my book, amid an battle..in one part Untred, the main character is spuring his guys into battle..."We will be rich beyond means...Silver..Gold, we will make WHORES of their women!"...ahem. I felt like all eyes were on me about then. Joke....Hunter calls into 911 emergency, frantic he says "Help, I think my hunting partner is dead!..what do I do now?...the gal on the other end says calmly... "Now don't panic,.... make sure he's dead".......silence.....then they hear an gun shot..he returns ."Now what do I do?" |
