PS..my hubby took over the bank account some years ago..he has never listened to me, he did his usual of an lack of true communication..and we are greatly in debt and now it' s impossible with the health bills to recover without someone helping us wipe the slate clean..can anyone do that?...I'm not sure this time around myself. Our debts to most Billionaires are an drop in the bucket, but they loom over our heads as huge as are thier debts these days. My so called "Elvis Presely" legacy I guess...and I understand now the Parker family was of no help to him...some say Col. Tom Parker killed him pressing him for money. I don't know. Time will tell I guess.

I know exactly what you elude to Michael, and yes they are!

Debbie, share it? Yes, that would be a good idea but hope they don't want me to share anything with anybody, because I don't have anything to share!

And now the EU is forcing the UK government to break up banks now owned--partially--by the tax payer. i.e. Lloyds Banking Group and Chancellor Alistair Darling commented is to provide more competition instead of half a dozen big providers and that wouldn't be acceptable.

That seems a bit rich from him, seeing as it was his boss- Gordon Brown--that engineered the merger of LloydsTSB Bank with HBOS !!

And how much more is this going to cost the tax payer now? The Shadow Financial Sec, commented---The Government is not being straight with people. Mr Darling failled to mention the extra capital that the tax payer is apparently going to inject into Lloyds and RBS [ Royal Bank of Scotland] worth some £25 billion.

Paul, doesn't this just p... you off completely? Labour have really stuffed this Country, the waste attributed to this bunch is beyond belief. Then there is the matter of Alan Johnson MP the ex Union man who became Home Secretary in the current Labour Government. He basically says don't criticize the Government or we will get rid of you. I'm talking about Professor Nutt who said smoking and alcohol is more dangerous than some drugs such as cannabis. Who would you rather believe, the union man or the scientist

Roll on June I say...

And on the news tonight, looks like the banks tax payers money will be nearer £30 billion which the Chancellor ommitted to mention the other day. How about other people? Well, Pension Credit has increased this week .Pension Credit is a payment that tops up the state pension and other income to guarantee over-60s a minimum £130/week (couples £198), or pays extra to some savers, to reward them for their prudence. So, if you qualify, don't be like millions who don't claim it. Smile

Things are so weird over here, I don't know about over there, but we use to beable to deduct any interest on credit card purchases, not be fined for it with even higher interest rates, that alone use to stimulate the economy. True they had an luxury tax on an few things, but for the most part they were so extraordinarily expensive they weren't for the most part the ususal normal of life on everyday type items.

pension credits are a laugh Paul. as my other half is aged 62 she has a state pension, i am 61 so I (being a male) dont get a state pension until I'm 65. Our joint income is slightly above £198 so we are not entitled to Pension Credits and as I have had to stop work recently due to ill health we dont qualify for working credits either. I cant claim Job seekers allowance because of my conditon (Im not looking for work), but a work assessment states that as I can adjust my specticles with both hands i am fit enough to work so I cant claim Employment and Support allowance (ESA). Its all a joke after working continuously since 1964 lol

..I got an idea Ron, send them "surivial pens" for Christmas?...it was just an idea...coffee cups no, I've known to many places going out with having given them to employees as gifts. You know, I know my banker,...and I truly rather like the guy. This bank is not amoung those of the big corporate world seeking help from debts either.
