We went an watched the newest "Christmas Carol" movie, I would say for the wee ones, it might scare them to death..but it was an FANTASTIC animated movie otherwise. I'll bring in the tree, and start with the decorations. and get the Christmas cards in the mail. For some reason, we didn't even come close to having a Christmas lst year, no tree, no decorations, no cards. It won't happen again. |

Just prior I had given this homeless kid an couple of bucks for food..at an shopping mall. Well, I went back out to check on the metal tool shed I made into an "santa's hot chocolate shoppe" this year..having taken an brief reprieve from it...and noticed the "New batteries" in the latern didn't work, so replaced them, put in an new heater cyclinder and turned around to notice on the table was "an couple of bucks"...now I know (1) I didnt' give that kid my address, (2) none of my grandkids have gotten any money form me recently...(3) as far as I know, no one else has been out there..an "stuble" message that "angels" abound this holiday season? I'm not done with it yet though..as I have an coat and another blanket for it. I might have to replace my BBQ grill also. Guys now are hanging outside Christmas lights. They brought downt eh whole works from the attic this morning.I got an whole room full of stuff to decorate with now. I just got an email about an coyote that the road embedded in the front bumper of an car for an 600 mile drive, they had to tear the front of the car apart to get it out, when they discovered it the next morning after thier journey...they knew they had hit something, figured they probably killed it...but didnt' have the time to stop. All it had was an few scratches on its paw...another true "miracle" of an kind. Tis' the season people. Actually, I've been very good this time around on the eating bit gals, as much as I could make, it was non-fat and sugar free...and still tasted pretty good to me! I'm on my third left-over meal so far. Here pretty soon I'll freeze the rest of the left-overs if we haven't eaten them from getting tired of them. Kids went last night to downtown Portland's tree lighting, it was 20,000 people strong there. Macy's here had their Christmas Parade Friday, as the one from New York was Thursday on TV. The "turkey enchiladas" sound good to me Ruth. Cathie, for some reason everyone took to pies this year, like three pumpkin, three apple and one pecan...this morning they dove into the brownies...we've been having local neighbor kids here visting, and one cousin. But essentially we have gone through, 56 pieces of pie...in about four days...with whip cream too! Stephanie..slow down...enjoy the season!...moving or not. You can do it!..I have all my faith in you....that you can ENJOY this year. As I'm telling everyone...."Make it" Christmas this year...whatever your circumstances. See, Sue learned last year, life without "Christmas" just plainly "sucks" for most of us..because it brings out the "love" in us, and isn't that what we all REALLY want in life..yes!..it is! Enjoy. |
