Then you definitely know, Cathy.  I'd not heard of the mods and rockers until Quadrophenia came out and I think that was in the 70s.

i think the 50s were the best time of my life i lived in a small mining village with plenty of countryside not many houses in the village ---and guess what--we had an american airbase as well the biggest in europe they were great with us kids.

That's very cool, James.  I live near Luke AFB now.  And I'm from a mining town in Pennsylvania with plenty of countryside too, although the pits had closed by the time I was born.

A friend of mine who lives in Montana was stationed at Chicksands in the 80s.
