Looks like the cheeky Isreal secret service team used cloned British and Irish passports to assasinate an arab leader. Are they trying to provoke an international incident?

Seems it was a pretty basic job carried out Michael and not what might be expected from Israel's Mossad. Either way its another incident, something else to have to worry about!

Definately not the Mossad. They're too clean; they wouldn't leave a hint of involvement. Besides, they certainly wouldn't need cloned passports.

They have a record of doing it 3 times in the past 2 decades and an apology is on record.

There is a lot of speculation now that the assassination was carried out by professionals possibly hired by Fatah, the rival Palestinian faction to Hamas. Bob T is right--Mossad would have left little if any clues to their involvement, unless they wanted to send a message to high-level radical Islamist leaders--the fear ripple effect, if you will.

I am just now reading an book of both old and new Isreal. It is quite an mixed up jumble over there in human relations in ways....and hard to understand for me at times. Perhaps I can have better insight, though I doubt any real fighting ever stops until an person can stand in the middle of the road and trust they are safe to do so....from an stray bullet. This book leaves me saying from reading it, that they use their religious and cultural identity to perpertrate "crime" on each other.. not "God" type values toward humanity in general of real freedom in thought. I have always felt they have an lousy position given them by God also, fight, they die, don't fight, the world comes to an end supposedly...the Second coming is here...peace. I would guess it might be in dying in an way also..to get to it. So you see, there's always this "death" thing going on for them reguardless of whose doing what to whom. Sad. But maybe it is an thing of humanity..in that it dies in some way or another constantly. I can not think of many whom do not want to live into old age and with fulfilment of an good life, so they leave for heaven with an smile on their face of contentment...not one of strife. Perhaps the truth of this book is God's realm of constant destruction of tearing down what is built and redoing it all the time...an kind of learning process by God.  Birth, death, rebirth. Heaven is our place of refuge and rest for the weary..the tired...those just can't take any more of "life" on earth...in some form or fashion. It bothers me our life spans are getting shorter these days, not longer for some reason...wisdom comes of old age.

Ah but the passports from which they were cloned belonged to inocent British and Irish passport holders living and working in Israel. They would not have used their own passports would they but being foriegn nationals to Israel, the Israel authorities would have access to their passports.

Sorry, but that substantiates nothing. The Mossad are far too sophisticated to resort to grade-school level operations.
