Mothers Day of course is fast approaching, so what will you be doing to thank and/or remember your Mum? Cook a meal, clean the house, buy some flowers, pot plant, chocolates, take her to the cinema, take her out for a meal in a plush restaurant?

Any other ideas members?

My mum is dead, but I will remember all the good times we had. I will offer up thanks that this wonderful woman was MY MUM.

As she lives almost 700 miles away, I will send her flowers and a nice card and then ring her for one of our hour long chats (mind you, she does most of the chatting; hard to get a word in, but it does make her very happy).  She's a sweet lady is my Mum.

When is Mother's day in the UK, Ron?  It's the second Sunday in May over here, which I believe is the 9th this year.

Mother's day's tough for me.  My mom died when I was 12 and my only child died 17 years ago.  But they were both reasons to celebrate, so I always do, but some years are easier than others.

Mother's Day in England is March 14th this year, Ruth.

My mum is gone too, but I like to celebrate both the English and American Mother's Day. Lots of celebration food     .

Thinking of you as always Ruth.

I always visit my Mom on Mother's Day. In fact we will have our new house keys by then so she might be visiting us! My boys usually make cards for me and buy a small gift.
