So what's the problem with it being Wombleton in North Yorkshire? There is a picture on POE of a pub in Wombleton (the Wombles moved a long way to Wimbledon though) LOL

I'll bet it's Wombleton, Cathy.  Have you tried googling *ombleton with all the letters of the alphabet?

The map on that site was great, thank you Lancslove!  It is only just over 2 miles from Helmsley, which we visited and not too far from Rievaulx, Coxwold, Ampelforth, Byland and Kilburn - all of which we went to as well, so I think it's a match Smile

I have submitted the photo, perhaps someone knows the place and can confirm that it is correct?
