He was a children's book illustrator but also did work for the Radio Times. I did a two year technical illustration course in the early 80's. I wanted to be a children's book illustrator. I like to do pen and ink work with a watercolour wash. I still do the occasional piece although not enough and my work isn't as good as it was as I am out of practice and I have totally lost my confidence! My son Joseph is really good at art - hope he makes a go of it! |

However, the photographs on POE are so inspiring I would like to paint some of them, once I have the photographer's permission! Then I might pluck up the courage to submit them |

I love the Impressionist painters. I do love to sketch and paint but unfortunately barely get any time.I like to make copies of some paintings of the great masters.In fact my father has mademe copies of paintings of some of my favourite painters and I treasure them very much! Like Cathyml I feel inspired to paint some of the beautiful pictures from POE but maybe I will get the time only after I retire! |
