Ruth...I know you live in an desert area, and how much you love England for its greenery ..am in agreement of its beauty..of which we could probably never really get them to understand how precious it really is in todays' world. I wanted to share this link with you to show you what's going on in the desert of California these days....http://www.desertusa.com/wildflo/ca.html.....and partly because the reports come with the type of cameras that were used. I thought people might be interested in that also.

Shirley, I went out the last couple of weekends to get some pics.  You gotta get 'em while you can.  The flowers are pretty much gone by May.

I posted this link to the pics I took last week to the PIctures of USA thread, but you may have missed it.  Easiest and quickest way to view these is with the slideshow feature in the upper right.

Hi Shirley, sorry needs changing in the database and not something that I have access to. Another little job for Chris and/or Sarah sometime. Don't worry about it, we all know what you mean't. Lol

Thanks Ron, I hate it when it happens in an thread starter headline...

Ruth how did the hike go when taking those pictures, if I may ask. People that have beatiful flowes all the time take them for granted, and its an "big thing" when there are blooms in the desert like there are being reported right now. Did you hear about the wild horses getting loose and running around down in San Deigo or an small town near it?Keeping an eye on it for an earthquake precursor..of unsual animal behavior.
