Mr Brind, known affectionately as ‘Ron’, was awarded the merit for his ceaseless charity work and raising awareness of the Oxfordshire based writer and poet C. S. Lewis. Ron was not available for comment but his loving wife Anna said ‘It’s typical of Ron to ‘shun’ publicity be he deserves everything he gets’. Ron is a sponsor of the well known C.S. Lewis tours and also a moderator on the Pictures of England website which is owned and run by his daughter and son in-law, Sarah and Chris. Unknown to Ron, friends from across the internet world are planning to support him at the Palace when the award is presented in June this year. |
