Lol and you nkow when you sign up that you are part of a fighting machine and will be required to work 24/7 if needed. The British Army/Navy/Airforce since the early 60's are ALL volunteers, unlike some other country's. They are professionals in all they do and have some of the best equipment available. They are not prticuly well paid, (less than a British policeman, fireman, nurse or teacher) so they dont do it for the money. They do it for their pride, and they can choose to purchase their release from their contract of service should they so desire. |

Its very hard to just stop being an woman because you have an career job. If you'll remember the bible says the women have the children and the men support them though thier work...over here the men don't necessarily feel that way these days. They had to make it an law that men help support their children. Our Director of nurses had her infant with her everyday in her office until she was about 3 months old...for one thing she nursed her daily...then she found the care-taker close by where she could go to her house at lunchtime everday an nurse her baby...and made up breast milk bottles for in-between. We understood as nurses..that this was an repsonsibilty on her as an woman. Manytop notch companies supply daycare for their employees )both men and women) either close by or in the facilty itself, and they are allowed to take the expenses incurred as an employee tax deduction expense. Time to get out of the dark ages in this matter if people are going to be made to support themselves and their family and are single parents.

I acknowledge she did join the British army from Trinadad in the carabean and credit where credits due but as soon as she saw her chance to profit from our hospitality, she took it.. |
