Sorry this thread isnt about wildlife LoL! The UK's longest running 'soap' opera Coronation Street has effectively 'sacked' butcher Asheley Peacock, his on-screen wife and the child actors playing their sons.

According to the popular press, they went to see the new producer to see if they could effectively be given a new storyeline, an argument developed and they were told there services were no longer required!

Just as a matter of interest Coronation Street was on TV before we left England 40 years ago!!  One of the things that surprised me when I went back for my first visit after 16 years - was that the programme was still on and that many people seemed to be quite happy to sit down and watch it!!  It seemed like they were stuck in a time warp, lol

If Coronation Street is (heaven forbid) 50 years old, don't tell me the Archers and Mrs Dale's Diary are still on the radio!!!

Do I gather you two watch it as you know so much about it?

I watch 'Egg Heads' and am surprised that one of them has watched it since it started, but am more surprised that Judith Keppel who won a million pounds on who wants to be a millionaire is a follower of 'Eastenders'
