Not sure what it is, James, but I'm guessing during the ban you're not allowed to wash your car or water your lawns?

yes you can wash your car but not use a hose-pipe,re/watering garden i have two water butts which are quite full for plants etc there is no shoetage of water there cant be ---but hose-pipes are banned.

I just googled hose-pipe, James.  We call them hoses over here.  I've never heard them called hose-pipes.

Ironically enough, I've lived in the desert southwest for 28 years and they've never instituted any water saving bans in the whole time I've lived here.

BTW, my favorite bumper sticker is one I saw on the back of a horse trailer.  It said "Don't be what you see."
