There is a group I used to belong to called The Daughters of The British Empire. A lovely bunch of English ladies. The Tea is a fundraiser for the British Nursing Home they support here in the states and a local Family Crisis Center.

I went last year and it was fabulous. Would have been nice to have you join me. They only serve English foods too!

It would be proper to. Check in your area to see if they have a chapter in your area. You have to have a British background or to have been born there to join.

Thanks for the links!! I'm not sure if I have any English in my background. Both sides of my family are from Ireland. But I think my dad did mention a bit of English somewhere!

Ireland as in Northern Ireland? If so, then you can join, as Northern Ireland is part of Great Britain.
