I thought it would be fun to find out what the multi-talented folk on POE do/did for a living.  We know Ron was in Pest Control (makes him ideal as the watchdog on POE, lol)Laughing

Vince hinted at keeping the nation clean and Patrick (Belgium) helps the unemployed and Peter was with the Railways.

Most of you know that I paint (whenever possible not walls & floors but canvases, lol) and that I own and run an art studio where I teach adult women how to paint.  I really love my job.  To add a new dimension my son has now offered to market my art for me  -  that's a whole new ball game!!

Why not tell us about your work or if that is no fun - tell us about your favourite hobby ??? Smile

I work for a major medical lab in the Information System dept. I make sure that all test results are sent to the product we provide for the doctor or hospital ie: teleprinter or computer system. If the reports fail to print, I call the client to check the equipment and walk them thru resetting modems and such. So many phone calls and checking report logs every hour....ZzZZZzzzzZZZZzzzz

For fun....photography, drawing, painting (but not often or very well) and hiking. I ADORE being outdoors!!

I trained and worked mostly as a Medical Assistant. I have loved medicine since I was a little girl. When I was 10 yrs. old I was in the hospital for a week and when well enough to get up I got to go around with the nurse and take blood pressures. I was so excited. If I had of done well enough in high school I would have become a surgeon.

I love crafting, sewing, loom knitting, making jewelry, etc. And then I love giving it away and making others happy.

I trained as a hairdresser in my youth. Did the whole apprenticeship thing.

I've always loved the medical field though, and worked for a few years part time in OB/GYN as an assistant, and now work just one little day a week as a jack of all trades with my Podiatrist.

So far James you seem to be one of the few who was trained in the job and actually continued with it throughout your working life.  After 45 years why would you want to be doing very much now, LOL.  Congratulations

That's true, there were not a lot of choices.  If you were a girl you could be a nurse, secretary or teacher (more or less) or you worked in a factory or shop.
