OK, you men, listen to Cathy and me.

Steaming your vegetables and rice is the healthiest way to prepare them.

When you boil, you lose allot of nutrients which leach out into the water. When you steam, the nutrients stay put (for the most part), and the vegetables and rice taste so much better.

Believe me when I say that steamed potatoes taste different. You have to try them to see, as it's useless trying to describe the difference. They are definitely tastier, as you boil half the taste aways when you imerse them in water.

Have your wives steam your spuds, and your veg, you'll not go back to boiling them ever again.... well, I didn't. I suppose the older you are it might be a bit like teaching a dog new tricks.

As for bacteria on the coins. If we listened to all this tripe about bacteria on everything, we'd not have a life. Take sensible precautions and you can do all the things our ancestors did, and live just as long.

And thus endeth my lecture for today.
