Well I've never been called a shark before! Ask a simple question, get abused from those who say they love you (so they say). I'm off to get a drink Lol

Well, back to the thread subject. For years there have been rumors that a bull shark has been occasionally spotted in southern Lake Michigan and that it or its ancestors made their way up the Mississippi River and eventually into the Chicago River. From there, it escaped into Lake Michigan. It is more likely that the "shark" that some people have spotted was either a large sheephead or a lake sturgeon (the largest of this species ever caught in the Great Lakes was over 150 years old and weighed in at 310 lbs.!). Spooky thought, though!

or an adult version of what was a baby shark, purchased in florida and released into the river once it was brought back up north by the children who got it in florida and were not taking care of it good enough once they returned to their homes up north. What may be percieved as a shark may, in fact, be as Rob mentions, to be more like sturgeons....and they re wicked fish ! LOL....

Don't know if there is stilll an open season on them anymore.
