When he did that, others helped him land the guy down on the street an hold him. As was pointed out on "coast" last night...it's not the gun, it's the person using it that makes is deadly. |

I agree its not the gun but the person in possesion that must be considered. would you allow a person to drive a car or truck without them taking (and passing) a test to make sure they are fit and safe to operate the machine? |

As for gun possession; I don't imagine we'll see the end of it in our life times. There are too many yahoos out there who still think owning a gun is the pinnacle of there manhood. What I do think is that a permit to own a gun should be harder to come by. Any one seeking to own a fire arm should subjected to a criminal background check and have a psych evaluation before being issued a permit. Not only this, but they should have to undergo an annual evaluation to keep the gun. All of this should be at the expense of the person seeking to own the gun. |
