Includng those that haven't as yet done it at all...what's that one special idea and what would your colors be...where would it be taking place at?  I've been to old fashioned outdoor type weddings, where we sat an bales of hay amoung country western singers...those formal ones at church, where the bride sang an song by an baby grand piano...I'll love you to the 12th of never...I think..something like that...and simple "scenic" ones done up Hawaiian Style. Any imput???

I wouldn't change a thing.

I Loved my wedding day. I loved my wedding dress. I loved the weather. I loved the honeymoon (Oh yes, I loved the honeymoon!) And most of all, I love my husband as much and more now, as I did 27 years ago on that special day.

I guess, now that England allows weddings to be performed outside of an official building, I would change the location and I would have been married in our garden.

Well Sue, I don't think our marriage laws have relaxed to the point of being able to walk down your garden path to say your wedding vows over the high altar of the barbeque as I think the premises still needs to be licenced to perform weddings. Abbey House Gardens and Heatherington Hall in Pinewood film studios both have superb gardens though for weddings there.

I think a castle would be an interesting option, such as Highclere Castle and I dare say others too can be found. At least after the bride has crossed the drawbridge or porticullis, they could be closed to stop her changing her mind and running away !

Sue, you and your hubby are an inspiration to us all. I think you have what most of us only ever dream of. You are a very fortunate couple! xoxo

Paul, isn't it usually the groom who runs for the highlands? ;-) But I do agree that a castle wedding sounds romantic.

Truthfully, at my age and at this stage in my life, I think that I would have prefered a nice little wedding package at a romantic bed & breakfast in Vermont.
