Casterline here in town, and he had to drill an couple of teeth and fill them for me..the doctor had an good reputation...including one of being so famous he was sought, like his sister whom was into our school system locally by everyone. My mother heard later on his was ito drinking heavily...I think he was drunk when he worked on my mouth...I was just and kid back then. I think he shot my blood vesels with novacaine instead of the nerve. At any rate, when tears were running down my face he decided to give me another novacain shot...after I was done I got as far as the front office and passed out across his file cabinet. I woke up on the floor. 20 years later....I had an tooth problem...was working at Fred Meyers at the time...so I had dental insurace...haven't since then either. My tooth kept feeling sore, so I went in and they uncapped the tooth Casterline had filled in when I was an kid...it literally popped open and pus flew out of my mouth from the pressure. They cleaned it out, and said, none of my filled teeth from previous times looked like they had root canals done. I had infection down into my jaw line...and this was work for an specialist. for an year I went to an specialist aas each of these teeth were taken out and the infection worked on...otherise I might of lost my jaw bone in my face eventually. They told me they thought the best route to go was gold crowns because they felt the gold would reatard any further infection if it decided to come back. Being somewhat "and sensitive psychic" the sound of an drill just drives me up an wall...they eventually put an reading device in my mouth and when it gets so high an caliber...they stop. I had two crowns put in at out of the pocket expenses of $1500....and they have to work slowly on it...they set up the bridgework for the third one. Before I could get it done the outside of the first two gold crowns crumbled out and I had nothing to the side of the crown...so they ended up pulling them out. Now they are talking some $3,000 out of pocket expenses. Same happened for the third tooth...with the bridgetwork...and they had to use an surgery surgeon to take it out couple years ago. I have one gold crown left and its been bothering my since last fall..it cropped up with the health problems...if it goes I have nothing to eat with but my front teeth. He litterally took out most the foundation gum work for false teeth doing the bridge work...my gum line is not there. At one time, if Betty Pliska is still around she can vouch that I had such an big hole in my mouth that the dentist not only sewed the gums closed...he sewed the cheek to my gum line. She thought I should of sued the whole bunch of them. Then of course my sister-in-law's daughter goes in for dental work up in Wentachee and comes home and she falls over dead from an brain anuisum...and I'm wondering what the hell. You know. Infection and bad teeth you know are an sure sign of heart ailment also from what I understand. Since then my kids' decided to send my grandkids to an Dr. John Chew here in town. Mod, mod ,mod, has all the lastest equiptment around...they put stuff inin my grandaughter's mouth that left her in special education classesat school...one reason they didn't mind moving out of my house. I ran into this s***...that's how much I hate these guys in town....that the kids were making fun of her so badly because she could hardly speak to be heard correctly.. that they felt it was in her best interest. Not to mention the huge and exhoribant prices they charge...to" torture" others as they do this....and their office staff is just so "sweet". The cost of my husband's false teeth...$300 and one weeks vacation time off work. They look perfect. Don' t come to this town for anything medical...it's crappy! One of the other supposedly well known "good" doctors in town treated one of my friend's daughter for acne...when she had kidney problems, she died also...by the time they found out...she as she had an the Asian Flu...it was to late. And don't go to Lebanon, Mo. either...as Terry told me that she knew something was wrong with her son "Michical" and kept taking him back into the docotor...when he finally gave him permission to go to an big hosptial in Kansas City...to find out he had diabetes. This hospital had released my sister-in-law that just died to as I take it....."slowly die"..it was her "time" you know...to an nursing home, they barely go ther in it before she passed away...she should of never left the hospital..they are apparently to stupid to know how to drain fluid off the lungs....an relatively easy procedure. The hospital in Lebanon is also owned by the one in Springfield. my current sister in-law, my brother married last summer.. has family In Springfield. She is an nurse also. YOU CAN TELL THE GOOD ONES...one tends to survive the ordeal both healthwise and monetarily. So bad was it they worked over my grandaughter that I could not even buy school pictures of her one year. She cried constantly from pain, people picking on her, infections, she's as thin as an rail, unable to eat..I hope they get it all back someday....they have not served God at all, by having the profession they claim to have.

Did you want to give us a new topic or should we ask Diana why she chose "Toothpaste" - I guess she must have a story about it! |

This happened many years ago actually. I was living in an apartment with a room mate who had left a million tiny nail holes in the wall. One day our land lord said he needed to come in to check out the pipes under our sink. Well, I was frantic because I didn't want him to see all the holes but there was no time to go out to the store to get putty and fix them correctly. I remembered reading some where that toothpaste would work on nail holes as long as the holes weren't too big. So, I grabbed a tube of paste and went to work. Long story short, the toothpaste filled the holes but our walls smelled suspiciously like mint for about two days. Lol. New word: Vase |

He asked me What happened that I held my breathe just sitting down in the chair, as if I was expecting the worse...so I told him. He asked me if I always stopped breathing when I was under stress...because it wasn't an good thing to do...and was giving me breathing lessons. ............................................................................................................. At one time travelling around in New England I got an hankering for collecting Colbalt Blue Vases and objects....like them..fill them up with REAL wampum.. everyone guesses what it is inside the vase. I have some very nice goblets that are dark cobalt blue. Not to many holidays require blue decorations. July 4th and maybe Father's Day or Christmas. I find dafodils look lovely in them though...and anything made of clay tile sitting near them. How many of you remeber in the 40's they when they use to have the Big Band sounds and banquets...they use to have little ciggaret ash trays that set near one's dinner or desert plate...at one time I had an set of those I found in an old thrift shop...but some got broken....I think its about the only set I've seen ever really seen in my area. |
