Each to his own, but it's not for me. 

The Body Worlds was in NYC while I was there. As much as I love the anatomy of the human body, I wasn't much interested in going to the exhibit.

Yes, it is, Diana.  People who have donated their bodies, and they use some kind of plasticization process.  It's really fascinating, but also a bit morbid, especially if one of your values is a decent burial.  lol

As for this statue, it would be quite at home in an OB/GYN office, but for a public place, IMHO, I think it's a bit much.
