Bricks?

I knew it!!  I didn't get the P word in the last one because I've absolutely no idea what a plimsol line is.  The only Plimsoles I know were the new wave band from the 80s  lol.

Hi Ruth, on any boat there is the line painted on the side of the hull near the waterline, as the boat is loaded it sits lower in the water and the line shows when the boat it loaded to it's safest maximum limit. It is known as the plimsol line named after the the person who thought of it ( Samuel Plimsol ) .

Thank you Vince.  I never knew that.  That's what I love about this site.  I learn something new almost ever time I visit.

If I remember my school days correctly plimsole was also the name for the soft canvas shoes we wore for running/games/sports.  The canvas shoes with the thicker soles (I wore these for tennis) were known as "pumps"  lol.  Useless piece of information I am sure.

Sorry Ruth & Vince not bricks or bike.

All useless information until it is needed and then very useful and you heard it here on POE.

Going back to I-spy, did think of this answer yesterday but could not remember the spelling so went for bike instead. Got bikes on the brain at the moment, just bought one!!! Have not ridden one for about 30 years or so, guess what it is true ---  you don't forget how to ride one.

                     And for tonights guess--- B A L U S T R A D E

Excellent try Vince and was a distinct possibility.  However, not the right word this time I'm afraid.
