Hi Sally..hope your having an good Holiday.

It's raining here, you'd never know yesterday was one bright clear warm Spring Day..and EVERYONE.... was outside I think pretty much..Not an cloud in the sky. Today is totally different but maybe we need something to slow us down from yesterday. I think I'm pretty ready for it all..festivities...could stand to use some time to myself to commune with "God" so as to say. My faith goes beyond church's most the time...there are times I have to "touch" with that in my own way.  Such as the other day I was sleeping in and my conscious ever since my near-death expereince...hangs outside my body at times..so I'm asleep..but hear everything going on around me...and I heard myself with the proverbial "death rattle" in my throat..that made me sit straight up in my body again...I looked at the clock and it appeared about the time Jesus most likely died on the cross...just an stuble reminder to me...it was Good Friday. As I said, yesterday seemed more like "Easter"..families were together and people were out doing their yards and ladies getting ready to cook their dinners ..kids all over the place enjoying the sunshine and playing. I did not get the chance to pick up my purple azeala yesterday..wonder if would seem in-appropriate to do that today. I think of all the messages in the bible...our "God" wanted us to know he is an "living" god...not an relic ritual but someone to live with daily in all we do. Love is the greatest commandment, but while it  incompasses happiness..it goes beyond that...and often the happiness of today is more of an sarcasim laughter toward another  then  "true" joy. Each should be recongized in its element of what it really is. Sometimes we laugh because of the very feeling of "Helplessness" in an situation..not because it's REALLY funny. So when I wish you all "joy"..know that it is the contentment from "within" of an daily living God to/in your prescence... for the quality of life in all it has to offer. Happy Easter!.... Seek "God" however you feel you may ... you can find him...if tha'ts in church...that's find also..because "prayer" recongnizes God's existence. Jesus died for our sins...but had people not seen him "resurrected"..if would of not meant anything to us all these thousands of years....and to see him now, to appear before us...means that thousand year old resurection was that of an daily "living" divinty... that is true even today...more then an promise...though it seems like for most folks that it takes an so called near-death expereince to understand the concept that he can manifest at his own will when needed to help others...even today..he goes beyond what people call "faith" in him... beyond bodily death.... Blessings. Have an good day!

Conspicuous by you absense you were James!  Everything has been far too quiet! (All your fault of course - there was no one to stir up trouble).

Maybe you could now - just go have a look at the thread to add 3 things if you were to go on a retreat - be sure to check out what the lurker wants to take with him.

(Double, double, toil and trouble, fires burn and cauldrons bubble) LOLLaughing
