Apart from many, many pathways and roads dug up all over the town with hundreds of bollards around them so you have little or no chance of walking on the path, shop access is restricted, temporary traffic lights are actually causing traffic jams, there is a distinct lack of contractors working anywhere at all (in fact we did see 8 men.....5 were stood at the front of a truck whilst one used an angle grinder, one chipped away at the cut tarmacadam, and on guy was sweeping up the mess). Some of the hotel buildings are very dirty, the public toilets are unbelievably filthy (honestly, you need to wipe your feet as you leave!). There is nowhere to park, a couple of traffic wardens were making the Town Council good money as a result, and staff from coffee shops seemingly running from one shopfront to another on the seafront 'borrowing' tables and chairs from each other. We decided to visit Portland Bill and it took us 40 minutes to get out of Weymouth! Total of about 1.5 miles travelled. All in time for 2012 Olympics?....Good luck to you Weymouth because you are going to need it! And don't forget that your TOILETS FACILITIES ARE A B....Y DISGRACE! |

Better chance of sitting on the wall with the pigeons and seagulls waiting to steal your snack! Disgusting place, don't know what this world is coming to! Won't be going back there again......EVER! |
