Always contrast plus a layer or 2 adjustments, bit of cropping to suit the image, but hopefully not so much that the shot is not 'believable'. Tend not to shoot RAW when taking pics of the grandkids as they move so fast, after 9 frames then memory buffer runs out....with jpeg the buffer is almost infinite Same question with an addition. Do you post capture process and do you shoot RAW or JPEG? |

But keep talking, I'm learning from what our saying....even my grandkids can work wonders around me these days. What's been your favorite picture?...mine is an simple snapshot of my son holding his daughter to the side of him and both are bracing and smiling into the camera... for an field water sprinkler is about to come around and over them....and soak them down good... It makes you wan to say..".Ooooh...RUN for it!".....and start laughing.. |

I do everything JPEG because I'm most familiar with it. Some work that I do has to be in that format so I stick with it. I don't have Photo Shop, but I do use Microsoft photo programs and crop and edit some of the photos I take. I do it mostly because I just like to play around with it and see what happens. My favorite photo that I took is of my grandson when he was about 2 years old. We were in my garden and he's bending over sniffing a flower. It's so cute and I do have it framed. Have you ever, like I did on my trip to England, taken a lot of photos and accidentally hit the delete button? It's a terrible feeling. |

Did once develop a batch of 5 x 36 exp 35mm black and white films in plain water ! ! ! That was a disaster, a load of car rally shots that i could noit go back to retake..... What is your biggest photo related mistake..... as opposed to disaster |

After much chasing I got a card back by post. I discovered that it was not the card I had loaned her and, in the belief that my card had been her card, she had wiped it. A shame she should do that - she was a very nice, attractive lady, until then. What do you think the best pixel size to be for the P of E picture-selling site? |

I tend to save mine as close to the top 4.99mb as I can get but they take quite while to upload. Obviously they are shrunk to put on the site so I am toying with doing my next lot of submissions between 1-2 mb to see if there is any major difference, if only time in uploading. Maybe need Ron, Chris or Sarah to give us a clue as to what is the optimum size Who, dead or alive, would like to do a photo session with? |

But for selling them I'm not sure! I would have liked to do a photo session with Elizabeth Taylor - I don't think any of the photos would have been wasted! His was a fantastic sense of humour, and he had a wonderful control of facial expression. Actually, I would prefer locations in preference to people. I want to be where there is plenty of sky - with an attractive view. My preferences would be Norfolk, UK, or the west coast of the Irish Republic. Where would your ideal location be? |
