I used to (had to really, being on my own for 26 years), but I am too nervous of going up stepladders now ... at my advanced age!!!  LOL

yes we do its a very expensive job now my wife is very handy in that dept. i do all the scraping and pasting.

Not when we first bought the house...we had an professional come out and help with the draperies, they were for the most part sometimes done in three layers on the window.(Black-out curtain for the sun, see through" insulated" curtain (winter) and an see through woven topper...for maxium sunlight yet privacy)..we could use them all or one at an time to acheive what we wanted...sun or no sun/lighting behind the woven one at night for "atmosphere", etc....after that we have pretty much done things on our own, with advice from others. They were expensive, but they've held up through all these years...only the insulated one has come down.

Yep, always have done.  Over here it is nearly always painted walls so not too difficult to do!  (I hate small paned window frames though!)

this afternoon --my wife has painted a coservatory wall and i must say she has done a good job.-------stinks though

are there any unruly kids in your immediate area street/road/lane etc

she certainly did -it was only one large wall then all the skirting  it took about 4 hrs once she starts she goes on.
