Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | Our new car has a LARGE and HEAVY ashtray that we do not want, being non smokers. It was removed from the cup holder and ignored. Three weeks ago when out of the car my dear wife (?!) found it, and put it on my seat. Black object on black seat. I did not see it when I got back in to the car. There was a bang as the base of my spine hit it. The pain shot through my body. At that point the population of Spalding heard me yell out "Oh Dear", or perhaps it was another phrase relating to fornication. Coccyx damage is agony when trying to get up or down in a chair. Despite all the pain I have "happy" times. The pain has affected my reading and numeracy skills. It seems the instructions on the packet of pain killers read "take one pill four times a day". I read it as "take several when ever you feel like it" The hippies of the 1960's think they got spaced out on LSD. I have been that spaced out that I want to wear flowers in my hair and say "peace and love man" to everyone. Moral of this story : When you are told smoking is harmful that does not mean you have to inhale it ! Edited by: Mick Smith at:29th July 2011 14:35 |
