August is here now and for most of us here in the states... it involves hot weather....and so it was I was thinking of the 60 and 70's songs..one of which was by the Loving Spoonful...Summer in the City...an real jazzy little tune in my day...followed by "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" and  "On the Rootop"....and "Boardwalk"....and so it was we would go to the drive in movie and watch such films as "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis Presely and listen to  songs like "Summer Place" .....romantic... Dream of an special loved one... and sit under an fan...go to the river...late at night to the hamburger stands, cruise town....and spend one last month enjoying our freedom from school coming up...counting our money to see if we earned enough over an summer job to last through the next year. Going to the local State fairs.... now  it's concerts most likley. What songs do you remember?...times back then? Special girl or guy.

She wore an "itsy bitsy yellow polk-dotted biikini".... before my time so I don't remember the singer...I do the song though....this is getting "old" for even me..lol. My girfreind's mother worked for Janzen Swimsuits back then...she helped my friend sew her own bikini in pink gayham checked material.... It "fit" in all the right places too! I was watching an bra commerica on TV the other day..had to....they had girls on it... duc taping into shape...padding into boulders...and putting paper towels under the straps before they had an fit right comfortable bra...then came the new "Miracle" 48 hour beathable thing that did "all the right things" for us gals. Think in my day we had to learn about these things from the Sears and Roebuck Catalouge......So...if your bra should "snore" at you... late in the night...just fling it off...and relax...there's no intruder in your room with you...it's just your  breathable "miracle bra"...... In the retail business...when the bra's were ravaged daily by shoppers and it came time to straighten up the tables and merchandise...we use to say..".round them up..and head them out"...properly. Just an part of an working day.... until they decided to hang them on hangers for display.
