Alan was a member when I first joined PoE in 2008. Wow I can't believe it has been that long! His message is as follows: "My apologies for my enforced abscence to all concerned, God willing, I'm going to make a real effort to find time to come back (as a full member, hopefully). In the meantime, I'd welcome contact from any of my old friends that would be willing to drop me a line. I promise that I'll respond to everything I receive from anyone." "Spennynews is still going strong - we'll be publishing our 200th issue in a couple of weeks - not bad for a volunteer run fortnightly Community Newspaper. I also founded Spennymoor History Group (originally Spennymoor Today) and am about to launch a new group for creative writers - SpennyWriters. Ideally I want to get a few websites up and running, but although I dare say I could shoe horn enough spare time for the job, I'm not very knowledgeable about these things. No doubt I'll get there in the end, though." "Hope to be with you and the gang soon on PoE." As you can see our dear Alan has been quite busy doing things he enjoys. I know that he has been missing us. If you would like to keep in touch with Alan before he can come back to PoE he has given me permission to give out his email address and mailing address if you would like to drop him a line. And if you are so inclined to send a text I also have his phone number. Let me know if you need any of these and I will send them right away. |

I would love to have his email address (its gone from my contact list). I no longer have my awie email, so use my contact address here on POE. Thank you for passing on the message, Cathy. |

Following is the link to be able to click on the word 'Contact' to drop him a short 'welcome back soon message' eh? http://www.picturesofengland.com/user/Paperboy/profile |

I'll be thinking of you. In the meantime I am sending you Alan's info. Thanks Ron. I am just doing what Alan asked me to do. And yes, we can also contact him through his profile. Thanks for the link as it would have been hard to find since it has been so long. |

Alan has made contact with me and I in turn have sent details for Chris and Sarah to find his Log in details etc. So Alan will be back soon, and he wants to come back with a 'Gold Star' so how good is that? Well done CathyE and Alan. |
