Allowing Uncle Tom Cobley and all into the Country is the very reason for our kids not being able to find work here in our beautiful land!

It's about time this Government (and the previous fiasco) woke up to the threat.

I say stop all immigration now, and start kicking out the hangers on that drain the resources of our Country without having put a penny into it.

B....y disgraceful and the Government will pay the price if they don't soon act!

What say you members?

Cameron has no reason not to hurt us, he must be aware that he is finished at the next election.  His priority now is to extract his revenge on us for being interested in the expenses scandal.  Only one type of PM could give the train contract to the Germans - a traitor.  During the war traitors were shot.  This evil little despot should be dealt with the same way.  The Arab world has stood up to the tyrants, sadly the British are too soft.

i agree with you entirely  on this subject ron it is a problem which we have been faced with for quite a while now and i am sorry to say a problem we are stuck with until something really drastic happens.

regarding micks comments --no matter who is running the country they will not please everybody --and regards being branded as a traitor what about blair, brown, straw, balls, and many more why not shoot them all at the same time --now that would make a good story.

Yes James they are all a waste of space.

My comments may sound a bit Upton Park (*) but it was early morning.  Always in a bad mood then and medication not taken.

So who do we elect to run the Country and where do we start even if we thought this was the way forward?

Maybe it will mean we need to take to the streets, perhaps set up our tents outside St Pauls? Knowing our luck the Government would say to us middle aged sensible Brits, go home or we'll give your home to a deserving immigrant, yeah!

Without doub't trouble is brewing, and nobody is there to turn the gas down to stop the boil over!

It was an pretty explosive day here also..."Occupy Portland" took over one of the banks...and sat down inside of it "chanting"....tellers closed down their tills and went running to call the police from what I understand....when left alone...the protestors took an few desk flags and turned them upside down..which is an international "distress" signal you know. Then they sat quietly on the floor until the police arrived and arrested them and hauled them off. Thiings didnt' get out of hand..but were heating up... when an man tried to save an woman about ready to get "pepper sprayed" for stepping off the sidewalk....he got it instead....and was sent by ambulance to the hospital and the protestors had sidewalk medics that were prepared for the others this stuff hit.  But this is the first time police used pepper spray today and it didnt' really help the cause of the police. Some of the other police were into to much rowdy circumstances with less of an hassel. New York cops did not look like the highly trained Portland cops in their" riot gear" ready for an out ant out armed conflict though, Portland cops almost make and person want to riot at times and they look at times like willing to pick an fight if confronted....our police look like something straight from the  harden miltary like movies...not your ususal city cop on duty. The rest of the country seemed to " into" it also today on the news and one wonders whose master-minding it all. Obama wasn't at the White House...when some homeless guy fired 9 rounds into it...two made it through windows...Mr. Ortego....appears to be an homelss man from Idaho that bought an Romania rifle....he was obesssed about 11/11/11...his father says... I take it being down in Mexico..they said the last time this happened...which is possible life in prison jail sentence...the guy got 40 years. I also find out...as well as the police apparently that college students are raising marijauna to pay college student debts....this one guy they caught growing the weed...had paid off his $100,000 studen tloan down to $80,000 dollars and now understand why some of the Govenors want to legalize the drug..being marijauna. They gave him 4/1/2 years...but at least you don' thave the majority of these people down there on drugs fighting with the cops or the problem would be much much worse. They pointed this out also...that "Occupy Portland" has much more educated people within it then do many other cities...with equally as well trained and education police handling them. The police are angry because unlike other cities...our protestors refuse to buy permits...that would allow them to be in the street....so they must march strung out comflortbly for other people on the street an not step off the sidewalk... or they face getting arrested.

The problem is that the retailers cut out the ususal abilty to these people to have part-time employment. They did this in these parts several years ago...and discovered to cut down employees and raise prices and they could get by with less hiring..which in short makes for less purchasing power in the community...and one cycle feeds the other. Bankers were at the same time raising their interest rates on them as well. If they asked for help...NO!...bu tthe bankers asked for help after all their mis-mangagment and bonuses and kicbacks in other things and Obama gives them all the money they need....and they didnt' use it to help people with mortgage problems. Nor do they help people with the need to renovate and upgrade thier houses..now did they produce living standards to the low-income. Best thing they could do right now is let people again deduct their interest charges on their credit cards like they use to do...off their income taxes as an expense....to stimulate buying....after that the creation of jobs from the items they have bought. Illegal immigration has greatly hurt us over the years also...but authorities would do nothing about it when they worked for cheap for bosses that had oodles of money to see to it they were allowed to work on the slight...most of them politicans and movie or Hollywood people....who have these days moved out of our country as "mexico" takes over California politically little by little enhanced by the drug cartel in the background also. Everyday you see soem kind of "tycoon" skipping out with some corporations money to get out of the country and the business goes bell up....and thousands of people are laid off. Such is this solar company that Obama was visiting here some time ago.  You actually should be better in Europe and England as all these funds go with them ...then what we are here. Everyday...an politician you read in the paper is charged for embezellment of some kind in some way....ro willingly steps down with an huge severence package. They don't CARE if they have an job they were elected to do. But last night this economists said that in reality we went belly up in depression in 2007 and it's been hushed...like the truth in everything is hushed these days and he said we would of never had this huge world wide indebtness had some of the banks went under then for bad loans in stead of giving them money to "help" them get an little more indebt from unwise choices and "scape-goating" issues in their jobs. You can not talk to people when they listen with closed ears. Reminds me of the nurses...whom at one time just knew they were more improtant an deserved to have more then anyone else around them. They forgot about those that serviced them in back-up...so they could do their work daily....saving money by making them do service work when they were suppose to be nursing aides to the patient...made thier work more inferior also....I refused to allow it when I was an supervisor...I mean the whole place had to be in an state of emergency for me to allow nurse aides to help me, or housekeepers...unless they wanted to transfer over to my department.  People that's how uncle so in forth fell out of bed...how aunty so in forth kept ringing for help and never got it...and they found her dead....thoser taking care of them were doing jobs they shouldn't of been doing....or possibly doing chart work and smoking at the nurse station or in the bathroom, or in the break room or chatting as they watched an patient go to the bathroom wiht another nurse's aide.  Well, socity has taken on this same sort of ill on th ejob working and it's showing up....sloppy work. "I don't care" attitudes. then we have the "over" rediculous rules an regulations trying to make oneself more important "needed"...and causing huge business indebness also. One reason the unions have practically put themselves out of jobs these days. I guess basically it's people that dont' care, bad decisions...lack of production...to high prices...to inferior quality...and keeping ideas that help stimulate lower costs. While countries such as "China" knows these things...our American businessman refuses to see it.... for here in our country. Yes, if your people can't work with you and do as the public wants...why pay them, as they wouldn't you most likely if the shoe was on the other foot. We don't have the politicans we had in the past either...because they don't have the expereince often in managing anything that they can't "scalp" for their own pocket...so how do you expect them to help you?...they can't. They dont' care. Remember the lady that kicked the woman off the bus for her toddler crying....you know she had no less the 119 complaints on her for being an abusive bus driver...last year. Maybe her route was in an lowly educated section of town or something....working with people didnt' have the God given sense of much more then an animal so she treated them like animals until they changed on their own? Hard to know these days. Her pay was over $60,000 an year. Look at all the people making half of that these days...I'm sure they would love the opportunity of the job.

Well, I do think that whoever is running this country has their work cut out to correct the mess we find ourselves in. Successive governments over the last 30-40 years have sold the United Kingdom down the river in a self-serving and greedy manner.

The only reason politicians want us in Europe is so that they can make even more money and have more influence. It has nothing to do with making a better life for the citizens of this benighted country.

We are paying through the nose for the mistakes of the elite few in politics and the banking industry and have watched our manufacturing and developement skills evaporate over the years as more and more were sold off to cheaper and less demanding places.

Our children cannot find work because they are inexperienced. They cannot gain experience because there is no work. My son has a degree but is still sat in our tiny flat, demoralised and depressed because no one wants to employ him.

Blaming one government or another is silly. They have ALL contributed to the current state of affairs and it will take a bigger and better man than Cameron, Clegg or Milliband to actually do something about the current state of affairs. But it will also take a lot of effort on the part of the people living here, locals AND immigrants. They wanted to come here, work with us to make this country great again and set it on it's feet.

I despair of getting old and view my retirement in a few years time with trpidation and fear. This country needs more than fancy words and constant whining to set it on it's feet. It needs the wartime spirit that got us through more wars than anyone else, it needs the manufacturing enterprise that created most of the modern world and, above all, it needs a determination to succeed for everyone, not just self.

Part of the problem with all these 'immigrants' is that they are willing to work at jobs that our young folk (and old) think is beneath them.

Many kids today expect life to be handed to them on a platter. They don't want to start at the bottom and work their way up, as us older folks did in our time.

Like I said, just part of the problem.

another part of the problem is a lot of the kids dont want to work, when i started working the rule was if you refused a job three times your "dole " was stopped --i was fortunate in getting a job straight after leaving school and stuck at it for 46 yrs.

You should see what happened tonight in Oakland, California....it reminds me of worse then Nazi Germany in world war II...un-armed kids...grouped together....no protesting, no violence, except refusign to move I guess..and the cops took the opportunity to walk along in front of them pepper spraying with cannisters...I mean they were not doing anything but "sitting"....therre IS something wrong with police that think this is their line of duty upon the citzenry....they don't go at the teachers when they protest for more wages, and they are much more rowdier then these poor protestors just sitting there...never even had protest signs around them.  Do you think if the cops had bullets in their guns they would of mowed them down violently and murdered them all because they felt they had that kidn of authority?..cause it sure did look like it was one step getting there tonight. I'd like to know "why" the cops think they have to be so violent amoung the people that are paying their wages. These are American citzens they are doing this rash acts of violence against....these are the kids got to go to war and die and what little is left of them these days...and this is how they get treated...bull crap...this is not "God's" justice beign served on them...no this is evil and not justified and wrong...this is the kind of justice that Jesus got on the cross, tortured...let's see back then they put an crown of nails on his head an dpushed it down...these days they use pepper spray and billy clubs...and these kids ar enot Jesus and have never tried to say they were.  I'm not defending the protestors if they get violent and tear the hell out of stuff, they need to be arrested and stopped...but to expect them to sit there and be pepper sprayed and say nothing..is super real in an way. As chemical stuff hurts, its an warfare chemical..my god!!!  I have seen many protests over the years...but nothing like what's going in an most unfair way. You can't tell me that Oakland doesn't have enough police to pick them up and haul them off...without the pepper spraying bit going on...they have done it all along and at other times. I am ashamed of my country that so few in authority seem to care for the civil rights of its people. Our mayor decided to apology for the pepper spraying here in Portland, but I think that it's going to get people to think twice about having him for our Mayor...because it should of never happened in the first place. I mean he talks about the protestors not doing things right...well, in my estimation...his own police force wasn't to keen in what they did...nor smart enough to handle things non-violently also....tha topportunity was presented to them. I think they use to call this type "gun-happy know it alls". Imust say you can't trust them to be non-violent and you bet they are disrespected in the capacity of of acting "professional". I left the news with Egypt breakig out in "riots" tonight and then some...2 dead, 700 more invovled or injured....I didn't get the last part of it.

Sue... that crap about hispanics doing the work because white people won't ....that's only an lie...... in the case of "Union" workers....and if your paying union dues and you take an less paying job...then you admit to giving up all your "seniority rights" at the same time in that particular career. That would be like an nurse saying she'll do and accept nurse's aide duties at minium wage....her union will no longer up hold her....as one of their nurses...to work for the pay she has been getting all along due to her job experience and tenure in her line of work. Once the minium job pays what her last job she did was earning...then she'll have no problem. That happened to me and I had to find that out myself. It took some 15 years to equal out what I was making as an retail clerk... from being hired on my past job expereince as an supervisor. Most hispanics come into the field with never having been part of an union...as an worker. They like to say we as white people are lazy and won't do the job because they don't know the rules any better then most of them do English and who are they to talk...most the time they want and in some ways force us to "pave the way" for them these days. Employers love them because they do force an third world "poverty" condition upon the country they come into...from their working habits. It's not us that should stoop to there ways...its for us to keep our ways.. and include them as we can...so all have an better life. That is part of the very big problem these days. They are not up here because they could handle things down in Mexico...now why should we let them have leadership positions here.... until they learn what here is all about? They are an very big influence on what' s happened to our economy. AS I said..to take the wand of the wizzard... and think you know how to handle it is like Mickey Mouse in "Fantasia"...that should be coming up here shortly if things don't get revived on whose who in the country and just what our country stands for once again. I don' tbeleive in white supremecy...but by golly there's places here that there is already an hispanic supremecy going on. Since when was it wrong to say that as an country your can' t just walk into it...you have to have an passport...if you want to be an citzen, then you must take the appropriate steps. When we bring this up about immigration illegally people look at us like we are mean hearted people...but say...every country you'll go to.... you find there are rules for going there that apply when you enter. These illegals have been raiding the farmers along the borders..the ranchers...they rape some of their own hispanics that are natural born citzens here...some have been shot and killed amoung the ranchers. You know what thier President told said to us...that he considers  them still his people and under his protection....even though tye crossed over here illegally. Mexico shut it's doors from this kind of activity years ago coming up from central and South America....but we are wrong to do it to them? The latest thing they have going is to get into local politics...to control the area they decide to reside in... and make it all hispanic. Rockwood areause to be mid and high income people...it's now niceknamed "Little Mexico"...major retails store have left the area...mostly because of the crime factor, drugs and bad tempers they display. They see nothing wrong with following their wife around shooting an gun if they are unhappy that day at her....I know first hand...we had them move into an house up the street from us. WEll, they grouped up some four or five families to go live an an million-dollar estate near the Golf course out here with their noses up in the air thinking they were better then the people living here anyway....we are soooo glad to get rid of them. It's actually "quiet" not having the police sirens whining away to break up the gun shots and the fighting going on.We only had one family here of that type...Rockwood is more hispanic now then it is white/black/ purple or what ever color you can think of.Yes, there's good hispanics in the world also...but you can tell them because like everyone else..they are hard working, keep their noses clean and join in and help make an community of varied people that want the same kind of an lifestyle...one that's better for everyone...not JUST them....at your expense. That my dear is why there will never "BE" this proposed like European union over here amoung the America's in general....for no one wants to hold up there end of the deal "equally" to tell you the truth....they want the USA to do that...but not themselves.

These college kids "protesting" are our future generation and lifestyle from what they develop...and by how they lead our country....so "kicking them in the ass" to me is unacceptable behavior...esp when it comes from people that know better....that are suppose to be the ones that they take over for in jobs as the older generation dies off. If we care about this country...we had better sit down and listen to them and work with each other and move on...correcting what went astray and knowing why it did so....and stopping it. Basically that's what the kids are asking for us to do by protesting...help them make better changes for everyone's future ahead. Now that is not wrong to do so.  Being abusive toward them can not be justified. They are not asking for things that are impossible to do.
